I’m thinking of getting rhinoplasty, and its very expensive here in UK and very cheap abroad! Has anyone gone abroad for surgery? Is it safe, or is it best to pay the extra to have it here? I know most people think going abroad is dangerous, but not all Doctors can be bad right? I look at one in Turkey called Nazim Cerkes, has anyone heard or had surgery with him?

So my best friend is considering getting a nose job, because she is an aspiring actress and they told her if her nose was fixed she could honestly book more. She is moving to califonia with me and our other best friend in 3 weeks and she got this great apparment and everything set up all on her. To thank her we decide we’d pay for her nose job or some of it. How much do they genrally cost? We want to pay for a good one and if its under 2000 wed like to pay for it all, if its over I want to know how much of It I could cover.

How is it going? I was walking through the mall today and I thought of a good question. Well, here it is. I think you will find it helpful.

Please no judgments, I just really need to vent my anxieties and hopefully get some advice. I have been wanting a nose job for a really long time, and the feelings have only grown stronger in the last 6 months. I feel really down having had a tough year and work is hard at the moment. I also have literally no confidence and hate the way I look. I feel like if I could just get the surgery it would give me the confidence boost to start changing things – like a new start. I have most of the money required and could probably earn the rest by about May/June. It just feels like thats a really long way off and I cant face the thought of another 4/5 months of this. Noone knows that I want this, so I can’t tell anyone about whats bothering me, even though its constantly on my mind. I just feel really depressed and don’t know how to cope.
Another thing is that its really distracting me from work at uni, I just cant stop thinking about it. Can anyone suggest a way for me to put it out of my mind? These next few months of waiting will literally drive me crazy otherwise.

Ok, so I’m turning 14 in August, and I hate my nose more than anything else in the world. I want to get a nose job next summer before i start high school, and i have tried to tell my parents how much I hate my nose, but they always tell me I look fine, but they know how uncomfortable I am with my nose. I have started to avoid pictures all together because of my nose, and i know that people talk about my nose behind my back, because of the ugly bump in the middle. How would you suggest I try to seriously start the conversation about the insecurities with my nose up with my parents?

Last summer I got attacked by some hood rats walking home from school. The result was a fractured nose. When it healed, my nose was crooked. At the time, my mom had health insurance and the reconstructive surgery would’ve been fully covered but I didn’t want to be absent from school for too long so I planned to wait for the winter break. Unfortunately before break, my family moved to a new city and my mom got a new job but it did not come with the health benefits.

Now my questions are… How would I get this started? My benefits from work don’t cover a surgery. Should I find a new health insurance policy that covers a reconstructive surgery?
Which would you recommend? And is it common to have the insurance cover the ‘nose-straightening’ surgery and the ‘narrowing’ via plastic surgery?
