I’ve had an open rhinoplasty recently and recently my cast has been removed. My whole nose is swollen and my nostrils look big although I’m not sure whether or not their size should be affected by the rhinoplasty. So is it normal for my nostrils to look big? The tip of my nose looks way smaller than my nostrils so I’m afraid the tip will get smaller and my nostrils will stay the same.
I’m about to get a Septo-rhinoplasty done. I’ve read that the process of removing the gauze packing from the nostrils 48 hours after the surger is the most uncomfortable part of the whole operation. Is it really so? What is the experience really like? What can be so horrible about remove some thing from the nostrils? What can I do to minimize the discomfort? Will keeping some chewing tobacco or nicotine gum or any other tension relieving trick help? Please only those who had Septo-rhinoplastes performed on them reply.
I had a rhinoplasty 2 years ago and i personally like myself much better now. My self-esteem is much higer than it was before and i like my new nose.
